Imagine a society in the near future where every part of your body can be harvested and grafted into someone else’s through transplant.

Imagine your teenage years marred by the constant fear of not being good enough, of not being the most promising child.

Imagine giving everything you have in your body willingly as form of tithe.

Sounds pretty exciting?

This book is a 2007 science fiction novel by young adult literature author Neal Shusterman. It is the aftermath of the long battle between two ideologies, which frankly speaking is gripping our humanity nowadays: pro- life vs pro- choice.

I wish that you would love this book! Its gripping, fascinating and really questions you where you should stand.

Where does consciousness starts and ends? And really, how much do we value life?
